Team Archetypes
Hypercarry
One main DPS + Stun + Support. Most common team structure. Stun the enemy, buff the DPS, unleash damage during the stun window.
Anomaly / Disorder
Two Anomaly agents with different elements + flex. Focus on triggering Disorder reactions for massive damage. Element pairing matters.
Mono Element
All agents share the same element. Strong synergy from element-specific buffs and faster Anomaly buildup. Works best with Ice or Ether.

What's the best team for beginners?
The free starter team: Billy/Corin (DPS), Anby (Stun), and Nicole (Support). All three are given for free and can clear most story content and early Shiyu Defense floors.
Do I need a Stun agent in every team?
Not strictly. Stun is optimal for hypercarry teams, but Anomaly/Disorder teams can work without one. The third slot is flexible based on your roster.
How important is element synergy?
Very important for Anomaly teams (you need different elements for Disorder). Less critical for hypercarry teams where raw damage matters more. Mono-element teams gain bonus Anomaly buildup.
